This is a posthumous portrait of a beloved girl, beautiful Bailey. Many of the portraits I paint are of pets who have gone to the Rainbow Bridge. I hear from the people who loved these pets that having a painted portrait is very comforting...perhaps because a painting, as opposed to a photograph, is more permanent and lasting...a little bit of immortality for the animals who have brought such joy.
